About

Why stay at Oliver’s?  Stay for the country-style hospitality and home-from-home vibe.  Stay for the award-winning restaurant.  Stay for the romantic Lowveld views.  Stay for the spa, and its excellent wellness treatments.  Stay for the luxury, spacious rooms, and their mix of African and Austrian décor.  Stay for the peace and tranquility.  Stay for the proximity to Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon and the Panorama Route.  Or stay for the golfing access: Oliver’s neighbours the championship-level White River Golf Course.  That’s why.

Accommodation

Intimate, comfortable and stylish, every air-conditioned room is individually furnished with king-size beds, all the expected amenities and golf-course views.  They’re split between the main house and an adjacent building, and span Standard Rooms, Luxury Rooms – almost twice as big, and boasting fireplaces and sitting areas – and two first-floor Executive Suites, with balconies, lounges and outdoor showers.  Then there’s a private, four-bedroom Luxury Family House, plus a Family Cottage.  Both have kitchenettes for self-catering.

Facilities

Locally renowned and nationally acclaimed, Oliver’s Restaurant blends Mediterranean, Australian, Swiss and Austrian influences on a-la-carte gourmet menu.  The owners’ alpine heritage is further referenced with a fun-filled fondue option available in their well-stocked wine cellar.  Spend days lazing beside the large pool, reclining on a terrace, snoozing in a log-fire lounge, or being pampered in the Wellness & Beauty Clinic.

Activities

Guests at Oliver’s have access to all the neighbouring White River Country Club’s facilities, including tennis and squash courts and the 18-hole golf course at member rates.  Lessons with the club pro can be arranged, too, as can rounds at world-renowned Leopard Creek, 45 minutes away, with prior arrangement.  Nearer still is Kruger National Park, while

Blyde River Canyon is also just a short drive away.

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcome.

The Best of South Africa Travel map displays the locations of the destinations and accommodation that we have selected and visited; for each item, hovering over or clicking the marker will display a short summary and photo of that place or hotel, and hotel pricing. Follow the links in the info box to the full page listing which has much more information.

Note that the online map offers both a satellite view (click satellite in the top right) and, for some locations, a street level view (Drag the person in the top left onto the map). These let you explore the country; and when you wish to explore in person, or if you have any questions about the places you see, give our staff a call, or request a quote. Our staff regularly visit the places and accommodation that we feature.

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
