7-night Cape Town & Winelands Gourmet Food Tour

This 7-night itinerary to Cape Town and the Winelands not only takes in some of the very best hotels in the most magnificent settings, but also offers an insight into the finest dining that South Africa has to offer.

Spend 4 nights at the 12 Apostles Hotel in Camps Bay, followed by 3 nights at La Quartier Francais located in the heart of Franschhoek in the Winelands.  Both boast sensational on-site restaurants and are perfectly positioned to sample the delights of other local eateries in the area.

This is just a sample itinerary, we are able to completely tailor-make the accommodation to your preferences and budgets.

Restaurants bookings are purely a suggestion, and reservations will need to be made direct with the restaurant, although we are able to assist with this wherever possible, if required.

Day 1

Welcome to Cape Town! You will be met at your aircraft with your name on a paging board and assisted through immigration, baggage collection and customs. You will then be shown to your private transfer to the 12 Apostles Hotel in Camps Bay, roughly a 30 minute journey. Check into the 12 Apostles for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the hotel enjoying the Spa, lying by the pool or in the gardens soaking up some sunshine late into the afternoon. Tonight you will be collected and taken to La Colombe in Constantia Nek on the Silvermist Estate. If timing permits, why not stop off in Hout Bay for a pre-dinner cocktail.

Day 2

This morning you will be collected from your hotel lobby and taken on a tour of the Cape Peninsular and Cape Point. The hotel will pack a delightful picnic hamper for you to enjoy on a secluded beach. Tonight you will enjoy a meal at the 12 Apostles flagship restaurant Azure. Enjoy pre- dinner drinks in the Leopard Bar, where you can watch the sun set over the ocean.

Day 3

This morning you will be collected from the hotel lobby and enjoy a morning cooking class in the heart of Cape Town. Tonight you will be collected and taken to The Test Kitchen, winner of Cape Town's 'Restaurant of The Year Award'.

Day 4

Your final day in Cape Town will be celebrated in true style. You will be collected from your hotel lobby and taken to a helipad in the V&A where you will then embark on a flight over Cape Town and around the mountain to Constantia Valley where you will enjoy a decadent lunch at Catharina's, Steenberg's world-class restaurant. This evening you can enjoy a light meal at one of the hotel restaurants.

Day 5

After a hearty breakfast, you will set off to explore the Winelands. Check into La Quartier Francais for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Settle in to your hotel this afternoon and enjoy some time by the pool, or explore the quirky shops and art galleries of Franschhoek village. Tonight you will dine at The Tasting Rooms, one of South Africa's top restaurants, located at La Quartier Francais.

Day 6

Enjoy a full day of wine tasting and food sampling in the beautiful vineyards of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Tonight you can enjoy a light alfresco supper at the beautiful Delaire Graff Estate.

Day 7

Your final day in the Winelands can be spend relaxing by the pool or taking a wander around the treelined streets of Stellenbosch. Tonight you will be collected and taken to Bistro 13, one of Stellenbosch's top restaurants.

Day 8

Enjoy a delicious alfresco breakfast followed by a final whiz around the last few wine estates on your list. Enjoy a light lunch and sample the best fizz around at Moreson Wine Estate, before heading back to Cape Town International Airport for your flight home.
