Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge

Game Lodge, KwaZulu-Natal

About

While most safari holiday game reserves in South Africa offer unbelievable views, few are as captivating as the view from Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge. Perched high up on a ridge in the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Game Reserve, a stay at this luxury lodge will make you reconsider your return to the hustle and bustle of normal life.

Set in the heart of Big 5 territory in the KwaZulu Natal, Hluhluwe iMfolozi is proud of its dedication to keeping nature, well natural. Their unobtrusive gem accommodation, Rhino Ridge is camouflaged with its natural glass and wood exterior.

The Lodge overlooks a watering hole which means you can enjoy a sundowner as lions, buffalo and leopards quench their thirst.

Accommodation

There are 3 room types at Rhino Ridge -  Safari Rooms ideal for families, Villas with fireplace & lounge area and Honeymoon Villas with private plunge pools.  Each has been individually crafted to ensure that all the needs of guests are met. From the luxurious linens to the spacious corners, this Lodge inspires all who visit it to relax and become one with nature.

Rooms offer over-sized showers opening onto a private deck while the lodge itself has a gorgeous crystalline rim-flow pool for guests to use at their leisure. Villa rooms have a fireplace for more chilly evenings as well as aircon for hotter days.

Facilities

Surrounding the pool which boasts what is the most breathtaking view in KwaZulu Natal, there is an expansive viewing deck. Rhino Ridge Lodge also offers a comfortable lounge, bar and dining room.

Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park offers fantastic game drives and walks for both young and old. The rangers here have been rated as some of the best, so you can be sure that there is no one better to show you around the 96,000-hectare park and ensure that your holiday in South Africa is a memorable one.

The park also offers a fantastic spa as well as great activities for kids.

Child policy

Children of all ages are welcome at Rhino Ridge, however rules apply to game drives.

The Best of South Africa Travel map displays the locations of the destinations and accommodation that we have selected and visited; for each item, hovering over or clicking the marker will display a short summary and photo of that place or hotel, and hotel pricing. Follow the links in the info box to the full page listing which has much more information.

Note that the online map offers both a satellite view (click satellite in the top right) and, for some locations, a street level view (Drag the person in the top left onto the map). These let you explore the country; and when you wish to explore in person, or if you have any questions about the places you see, give our staff a call, or request a quote. Our staff regularly visit the places and accommodation that we feature.

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.

Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge Reviews

Exceeded our expectations

Dear Ash
We are home safely from our wonderful holiday. We had the best time and cannot thank you enough for all your perfect organisation. Each part of our itinerary was fabulous and so different. Everyone we met was kind; nothing  was ever too much trouble at the lodges and on the tours; the food and drink were excellent and we  have certainly got a taste for luxury accommodation!!

The holiday far exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to others. We will do a Tripadvisor review later this week. We are thinking of visiting the Cape Town area in a couple of years and hope
you will be interested in helping us arrange it.

Thank you again for everything

who stayed here in June 2019.
