Accommodation

The accommodation at Knysna Hollow Country Estate consists of 15 Garden Chalets, 64 Garden Rooms and 8 Superior Eco Estate Rooms. The Garden Rooms offer natural, fresh décor with superior comfort while secreted away in a tranquil area of this country estate, the spacious Superior Eco Estate rooms feature Scandinavian-style accents with stunning views over the perennial dam. Book a Garden Chalet and enjoy a wood-burning fireplace during the colder months in an open-plan living area which leads into a stylish bedroom with its own patio. All the accommodation options come with tea and coffee facilities, ceiling fans, mini-bar fridges, flat-screen satellite TV and telephones. Opulent extras include en-suite bathrooms with heated towel rails and L’Occitane body products.

Facilities

Expect warm hospitality upon arrival with a welcoming glass of Champagne to be enjoyed against the backdrop of the flourishing indigenous gardens and abundant birdlife. If you are on a quest to worship the sun gods, you have three outdoor swimming pools to choose from and you’ll never be thirsty with a poolside bar service to keep the cocktails flowing. Spend lazy sunny afternoons on the Petanque court or amuse yourself in the rose garden on the outdoor chess board. With two excellent restaurants. dining at the Knysna Hollow Country Estate is a delight, the Knysna Hollow Restaurant offers an a la carte menu packed with fresh, seasonal meals in a convivial setting and the famous Pecan Tree Grill Room offers classic Malay-inspired dishes as well as local specialties like the famous fresh Knysna Oysters. The hotel bar, the Rutland Arms Pub is a lively place where you can top up your favourite tipple, socialise with other guests or watch sport when the big game is on.

Other attractions close by include the Knysna Elephant Park, Birds of Eden, Monkeyland and the Cango Caves.

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
