Kirstenbosh Gardens Tree Top Adventure on the way out to the Peninsula we will take an early first stop with a whistle stop tour into Kirstenbosh gardens searching out the 'The Boomslang' inspired by a snake skeleton this spectacular Tree Canopy Walkway winds and dips its way through and over the trees of the Arboretum. With tree top views of Table Mountain and out over the city a great way to start our day out in nature. Whilst hours can be spent in the gardens this is a short visit to kick things off but not before visiting the touch a feel part of the gardens that makes the Fynbos of the Cape come alive and really fire some interest in the children for our walks later in the reserve.

Kalk Bay Fish Market and Seals, fish market, meet the seals and throw a hand line over the harbour wall to see if we can catch anything.

Simon's Town - No trip to the peninsula is complete without a picture atop Just Nuisance a Great Dane that was enlisted in the Navy for helping wayward sailors make their way home and loving remembered and cast in bronze in the harbour. The small African market also specialises in hand made wire toys and animals.

Lunch Options - Fish & Chips at Salty Sea Dogs or a Picnic on a secret Penguin Beach.

Penguins - Whilst large crowds gather at the main Penguin colony we will skirt between the local only beaches meeting what have fondly become known as the 'Rogue Penguins' who like us like to escape the crowds. Options to Stand Up Paddle and Snorkel in rock pools the size of swimming pools or just enjoy the beach and Penguins.

Cape Point In the peninsula reserve itself we'll be on the hunt for the Cape 5 (Ostrich, Baboons, Mountain Zebra, Bonta Buck and Tortoise) whilst we'll visit Cape Point itself our time in the reserve will be spent on the deserted and often sheltered beaches exploring, paddling or finding ship wrecks.

Cape Point Vineyard : We will weave our way back to Cape Town via Kommetjie Noordhoek stopping at Cape Point Vineyard that has something for everyone with play gyms and acres for garden and vineyard to explore with the guide and some of South Africa's finest Sauvignon Blanc and Atlantic views to savour.
